Community Peer Support Among People Living with Spinal Cord Injury

This study by researchers at Carleton University seeks to understand the mental health and community support received by people with an SCI. The study involves an interview about the nature of the support participants receive from family, friends, and peers (i.e. others living with an SCI).

Who is eligible to participate: To participate in this study, you:

  • Must have sustained a spinal cord injury (SCI)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must receive support from other living with an SCI (formal or informal, in-person or virtually)

What is involved:

Participants will be asked to complete a survey. The survey can be completed online, independently, or over the telephone with assistance from the lead researcher. The survey takes between 15 and 30 minutes to complete. Participants will be entered to win 1 of 3 $50 gift cards.
