Peer Connections: Para Sporting – Virtual
Staying active is part of every healthy lifestyle. The benefits of sports are as varied as the sports themselves and can include improvements in physical, social, mental, and emotional well-being. Adaptive sports take the barriers away for people with spinal cord injuries to continue to enjoy their favourite activities or to try new ones. Katherine Hale from Ontario Para Network will join us for a presentation on the different para sports available in the GTA, from a recreational level all the way to international competition. Playing wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair tennis are just some of the para sports available. Join us and learn more about it.
