Our top priority is the well-being of our employees, clients, partners, donors, volunteers, and event attendees. We have been closely monitoring the situation with COVID-19 – the increase in case numbers and the progression of its variants – and after careful consultation with our community regarding the health and safety of everyone, Spinal Cord Injury Ontario has made the difficult decision to postpone all in-person events in the coming months; this includes the upcoming SCIO Roll & Bowl(s), Ski & Snowboard Day and The Diamond Ball presented by Oatley-Vigmond.
Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we felt this was the best way to proceed during this continued global situation. While it is disappointing to make this change, it is important that we minimize the risk for our people and the greater community.
Over the course of the coming weeks, we will explore other ways to engage and provide new opportunities to support SCIO, as raising much needed funds to benefit our community’s independence is core to who we are as an organization. Thank you to our sponsors, donors, and volunteers for your generous support over the years.
Questions? Please contact Sheila Daniel, Development Officer, Southwestern Region at [email protected].
Funds raised will directly support our clients and their families in our community, supporting them on the long and challenging journey from injury to recovery to rehabilitation and independent living.
