Session 1: Knowledge is Power: Rolling Towards Menopause
Nervous about going through “the change of life “or not sure what to expect? Join this powerhouse of peers and let us help to empower you with information.
Julie Watson along with Melanie Earle from t6talk, will be hosting a 2-part session on Perimenopause/Menopause.
In the first session, we will be joined by Dr Cathy Craven, Senior Scientist and Physiatrist at UHN, for a conversation on menopause. We will also have individuals with lived experience who will speak about how they have managed menopause, symptoms they have experienced and advice they would share for those soon to enter “the change.”
In the second session, Natasha Prodan-Bhalla, Nurse Practitioner from the Access Clinic in BC (for women who have difficulty accessing gynecological exams and screening including women with SCI), will share her knowledge and information on the topic. This will be followed up by more peers sharing their experiences.
We welcome any questions you may have as well as any experiences of your own you would like to share. Both sessions will be recorded, and a link will be sent out in a follow-up email.
When we share experiences, we build and strengthen community!
