
Anu Banerjee – Employment Counsellor
Before joining the team at SCIO, Anu Banerjee held employment specialist/recruiter positions with Community Microskills Development Centre and Woodgreen Community Services where she worked with job seekers who were newcomers to Canada. For the past eight years Anu has built on those skills and currently holds the position of Employment Counsellor now working with people with disabilities at Spinal Cord Injury Ontario. Anu holds a Master’s Degree from the National Institute of Design in India and has completed courses in HR and Leadership at both Ryerson and University of Toronto.

Rosanne Barlias – Employment Specialist
Rosanne Barlias is an Employment Specialist for Spinal Cord Injury of Ontario. She supports job seekers with disabilities to find equitable and meaningful employment. As someone who acquired a disability, she understands the barriers to employment and is passionate about helping job seekers with disabilities fully participate in the workplace. Rosanne graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Honors Double Major from York University in Sociology and Mass Communications and received a Career and Employment Coach certificate from Humber College. She is a guest lecturer on the topic of Accessible Technology.

Carmit Kordov – Employment Counsellor
Carmit is an Employment Counsellor with SCIO, helping people with their job-related goals. She has a significant number of years supporting people in the community in her work. Her pet topics are empathy and compassion. Carmit works with people who have a spinal cord injury and those who live with other disabilities. She holds a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology, and her varied background includes counselling, non-profit program coordination, teaching, writing and photography.

Nichola Carter – Employment Information Co-ordinator
Nichola holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Justice Services from Ontario Tech University and a Diploma in Community and Justice Services from Centennial College. Before joining the Employment Service team at SCIO, Nichola worked as a Housing Outreach Worker at the John Howard Society in Durham Region. In her current role as the Employment Information Coordinator at SCIO, Nichola is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Employment Resource Centre, conducts new intakes and other community outreach. Nichola is very passionate about advocacy and Human Rights.

Frankie He – Manager, Employment Services
Frankie He has a master’s degree in Business Administration and 16 years of experience working with Employment Ontario employment services. He has developed a good understanding of the issues and employment challenges faced by persons with disabilities. Frankie is involved in program management, client services delivery, program evaluation, partnership development, business development, budget management, human resources management, and employment services transformation. Frankie is in charge of the service delivery of OEAS and ODSP Employment Supports programs at SCIO.

Richard McCallum – Employment Specialist
Richard has been working at Spinal Cord Injury Ontario since June 2008 in the Employment Service Department as a Job Developer and Job Coach. His primary role is to connect with employers and explain the benefits of hiring people with disabilities and help the businesses find qualified candidates who have disabilities. Richard has assisted our job seekers to find meaningful employment and once employment has been achieved and if needed, he has assisted our job seekers to help retain their positions. Richard also assists candidates with learning how to explain their accommodation needs to their employers and has helped many job seekers through this process.
