In Memoriam – Melanie Collum

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the sudden and unexpected passing of Melanie Collum.

Melanie Collum

Our community has lost and great champion of people living with spinal cord injury, and a beloved colleague and friend. Melanie was an advocate, educator, community connector, navigator, PSW trainer, guest lecturer, and Regional Services Coordinator (RSC).

Through her work as an RSC, she battled relentlessly for her clients.  When referring to a client in need, a staff member at the Hamilton hospital lovingly remarked “Melanie’s on it. We don’t need to worry.”

She was a positive soul, and a giving individual.

We are thankful to have known her, and we are thankful for her wonderful work.
