Pelvic Health Clinic: Specialized Care for Individuals with SCI

The Pelvic Health Clinic at Lyndhurst is dedicated to providing comprehensive and accessible healthcare services tailored to the unique needs of individuals with spinal cord injuries (SCI). This specialized clinic addresses gaps in community care, offering services that are often unavailable elsewhere.

While many of the services are focused on individuals with female genitalia—such as pelvic exams, vaginal hygiene, and menopause management—sexual health education and resources are inclusive of all genders. The clinic provides a safe, supportive space where patients and their partners can access personalized education on sexual health, intimacy, and relationships in the context of SCI.

Services Offered:

  • Pelvic exams
  • HPV testing
  • STI testing
  • Provide education on various topics (and send suggestions to PCP) such as:
  • Vaginal hygiene
  • Contraception
  • Family planning
  • Menopause in the context of SCI
  • Bladder/bowel management
  • STI testing
  • HPV testing
  • Safe sex practices
  • Education and resources about sexual health and intimacy
