Mike and Carolyn sitting togetherOn Christmas Eve 2017, Carolyn found her husband Mike at the bottom of their staircase with no vital signs. Paramedics arrived, managed to revive him and fought to keep Mike alive on the way to hospital. Thankfully he survived but the family soon learned that Mike had sustained a spinal cord injury and their lives would be changed forever. With the love and support of family, friends and SCIO Mike and Carolyn and looking forward to a brighter 2019. They say: “This is not the future we had planned, but we’re now changing the plan. With Mike’s hard work and determination, we are pushing forward to make it the best we can. We’re looking forward to what the New Year will bring.”
