Addressing the Housing Needs of People with Spinal Cord Injury / Dysfunction

Researchers at Sunnybrook St. John’s Rehab are looking to create an evidence-based informational tool-kit to help those with spinal cord injury make decisions about finding or modifying a home.

Funding for this study is provided by the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation

WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WITH SPINAL CORD INJURY / DYSFUNCTION (SCI-D), FAMILY MEMBERS & PROFESSIONALS TO TAKE PART IN A STUDY EXPLORING HOUSING NEEDS.

This qualitative study is asking members of the SCI/D community to take part in a 45 minute online or phone survey:

  • Housing satisfaction
  • Physical Health
  • Mental and social well-being

This project is part of a larger initiative to develop a Tool-Kit to help people with SCI/D optimize their housing.

Who is eligible to participate:

The Home Accessibility Toolkit Project is  recruiting:

    • Canadians living with spinal cord injury/dysfunction;
    • Must be 18+ years of age
    • Must be able to speak English or French

What is involved:

Completing a 45 minute online or phone survey.
