Our Board of Directors is a diverse group of individuals that represent our community in a variety of ways; through the skills and resources they offer to support our mission; their experience as a person with a spinal cord injury; their professional insights into our services and activities; and their ability to develop strategic alliances and partnerships.

There’s room on our Board for people who are strongly aligned with our mission and values, and can play an important role in helping us continue to develop and grow as we strive to meet the needs of our community. We are seeking to fill 2 vacancies on our Board of Directors as of June 2024. Specifically, we are seeking candidates with experience in either fundraising/marketing and health system strategy and contacts with Ontario Health, ideally with a charitable organization. Deadline for applications is March 15, 2024.

The term for Board members is a minimum of 2 years. Meetings occur approximately five times per year along with our Annual General Meeting in June. Board members are also asked to sit on one of five Board committees: Finance, Advocacy, Governance and Nominating, Marketing & Fundraising and Quality Assurance. We actively encourage Board member to participate in events and activities that support Spinal Cord Injury Ontario.
